REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FALL RECREATIONAL COACH

To make things slightly easier to follow, I’ve split them in to two sections.

SECTION 1 is for NEW, FIRST-TIME COACHES and further down, SECTION 2 is for RETURNING COACHES.

To register as a coach for the FALL 2025 season, see the links provided below and fill in your information.

COACHES! READ EXTREMELY CAREFULLY! We’re on a WHOLE DIFFERENT SYSTEM and ASSA are still ironing out the kinks, so pay close attention! I’d STRONGLY suggest reading thru all of these instructions BEFORE you start with your registration so you recognize the steps. It’s a minefield but I’m walking you thru it.

With the new squadi system that we are now using, they have had some issues connecting the coach coursework to the system registration. We are about as close as we are going to get for now and we just need to get started so I’m releasing what we have. 

Please note: I am including 2 separate links – one for TRAVEL/COMPETITIVE coaches, and another for RECREATIONAL coaches.

The instructions are the same but you MUST use the CORRECT LINK!

If you are coaching both, you’ll need to register twice (let me know if for some reason squadi has an issue with that).

RECREATIONAL (this is for our main U5-U14 rec league) – CLICK HERE RECREATIONAL

TRAVEL / COMPETITIVE (this is for our travel coaches only) – CLICK HERE COMPETITIVE

INSTRUCTIONS – 

STEP 1: Click the link, register (using the same e-mail address you used in gotsoccer – REALLY IMPORTANT – if you’re not sure what e-mail that was, shoot me an e-mail at registrar@texarkanasoccer.com). If that e-mail is the same one used to register your kids, you should still be able to use that profile. If your spouse registered your kids, you can still use that profile.

IMPORTANT – Select the +NEW PARTICIPANT and then registering a family member and then add your details. For some reason if you select register yourself, the coach option doesn’t show. Squadi are working on fixing this.

STEP 2: Fill in requested info until you get to MEMBERSHIP DETAILS. Select HEAD COACH (or manager or assistant if you’re in the Competitive registration. We’re using Head Coach for all of the above in the rec program for convenience so just register under head coach for rec. Click the purple ADD COMPETITION/MEMBERSHIP (that’s just what they call program). Fill in the necessary boxes for medical conditions, comments with N/A (atm we can’t remove them – file that under things we’re still working with squadi on) and then check the Coach under the ‘club roles’ drop down menu.  

STEP 3: You’ll then see 4 coursework options. See below screenshot.

Atm none of the coursework is attached to any outside websites, aside form the JDP background check. Click +ADD and submit your bg check. Do this first!

AT THIS POINT, SUBMIT YOUR REGISTRATION ALL THE WAY THRU THE PAYMENT SECTION ($0) by clicking SIGN UP TO COMPETITION and COME BACK TO THE COURSEWORK. Do not select offline payment – there’s no charge.

YOU’LL RECEIVE AN E-MAIL FROM SQUADI THAT WILL DIRECT YOU BACK TO YOUR COURSEWORK PROFILE.

At which point, click on the e-mail confirmation link to your profile. 

Click risk management and then the three dots to the right of each course listed. 

Click complete from drop down and then upload certificate.

STEP 4: CDC HEADS UP – Atm the HEADS UP course (20 mins) isn’t ready for prime time so we’re gonna skip it and come back to it when it’s ready. I’ll reach out.

STEP 5: COACH SAFELY – This is a new course added by the State of Arkansas cos they decided y’all didn’t have enough to do already.

1. Click on the following link – https://coachsafely.adh.arkansas.gov/ and click on ‘login‘ on the darker of the blue toolbar across the top. CREATE an ACCOUNT (right side, bottom, red lettering).

After you’ve created an account, you can login using your chosen e-mail and password. 

2. Click on Coach Safely Training – the blue box top left of screen (under the word DEPARTMENT). Read thru the material. Click ‘next page’ as you go.

3. When finished, click on Coach Safely Certification Test (middle blue box). Take the test. 

4. When you’ve passed the test, you will receive a certificate by e-mail (it may take 15-20 minutes so be patient) – leave your tab open while you wait. 

5. When your certificate arrives in your inbox, UPLOAD it to your Coach Safely Coursework +ADD on your SQUADI profile. 

STEP 6: SAFESPORT

DO NOT CLICK START COURSE on your coach profile. This way is easier.

  1. Click here to navigate to the safesport sign in page
  2. Enter the following enrollment key – JJFAQsQPWNRj01edWcPr
  3. Click SIGN UP
  4. Fill in your information – keep track of your safesport username and password
  5. On the bottom section, enter N/A in the Organization Member ID box, choose COACH for role, and Texarkana Soccer Association for sport or community organization.

Once you finish signing up/logging in, the following box will auto populate with the enrollment key included. If it doesn’t, copy and paste the following – JJFAQsQPWNRj01edWcPr

Click on My COURSES.

Click START and work thru the videos and coursework til complete. Save your certificate and UPLOAD to your Squadi profile.

STEP 4: CDC HEADS UP –

URGENT: DO NOT CLICK THE START COURSE ON THE CDC HEADS UP!

Your CDC HEADS UP is permanent when you completed it the first time and can be found on your Gotsoccer profile. WHEN YOU FIND IT, save it somewhere for safekeeping because Gotsoccer will lock us out soon.

You can find your certificate on your Gotsoccer account and then upload to Squadi.

Go to Gotsoccer.com and login (top right) to your coach profile.

Once there, go to your dashboard, scroll down to your coursework and the HEAADS UP should be in green (see circled in yellow below). Click on it and it will download your certificate straight to your downloads folder. UPLOAD to your SQUADI coach profile.

STEP 6: SAFESPORT

Two ways to do this. OPTION 1:

  1. DO NOT CLICK START COURSE on your coach profile. This way is easier.
  2. Click here to navigate to the safesport sign in page
  3. Login using your login info. Your computer likely saved it, but if not, enter your e-mail address and use the ‘forgot password’.

Once you’ve logged in, click on MY COURSES. Do any refresher courses you may need to be up to date.

When complete and up to date, UPLOAD your certificate to Squadi.

To find your certificate, click the THREE BARS at top right and then choose TRANSCRIPT

PRINT TRANSCRIPT or save and upload to Squadi.

OPTION 2:

  1. Navigate to U.S. Soccer Learning Center
  2. Login with your username and password (hopefully you’ve kept these handy or saved on your computer/phone)
  3. Click the profile picture in the top right then select profile
  4. If you need to complete a refresher course, do so.

5. When complete, scroll down to SAFE SOCCER and then select “Show More Details”

5. Click download

6. UPLOAD to your SQUADI profile on the SAFESPORT section of the coursework.

STEP 8: BE SURE YOU’VE SUBMITTED THE COACH REGISTRATION ALL THE WAY.

Do not select offline payment – there’s no charge for coaching. Just select full payment.

You’ll receive an e-mail confirmation when it’s done. If you don’t, check your junkmail.
