Texarkana United Soccer Association

TUSA is the new name of our soccer organization here in Texarkana. TUSA is comprised of three separate leagues; TSA, the local league, consisting of our recreational and scholastic league teams; TUSC, our competitive/travel league; and the Bobby Bohn Adult League.

Recreational Soccer

TSA is now registering for the 2010 Fall soccer season for recreational level 1 soccer. Level 1 teams are for players U5 and above who are interested in playing locally. Teams are formed for the fall season and play 10 games. All games are scheduled on Saturdays at Grady T. Wallace. The league will begin play on September 11th and will go through November 13th. Questions? email Karl Steed at VP-TSA@TexarkanaSoccer.com

Scholastic Soccer (click here for details)

TSA is now registering high school age players for the fall season for the scholastic league. The teams will be for 9th - 12th grade students and the teams will be formed by high school affiliation. The format is 7 vs 7 games and will be played at Grady T. Wallace on Saturdays. The league will begin play on September 11th and will go through November 13th. The last weekend will be a double elimination tournament. All regular season games will count for tournament seeding only. The end-of-season tournament will determine the league champion. Questions? email Karl Steed at VP-TSA@TexarkanaSoccer.com

Competitive Soccer (click here for Q&A) (click for Player/Coach Contract)

TUSC is now registering for the 2010/2011 soccer season. These teams are formed as either Level 2 Recreational teams or Classic and is for players U10 and above who are interested in playing in tournaments. Travel teams are registered for the FULL year (fall and spring season). The date and time of practice are to be set by the team coaches. Players can be registered with TSA on a recreational team as well, but they will be listed as primary with their competitive team and the competitive team schedule will take precedence for any conflicts. Most of the games require some form of travel. For more information regarding competitive soccer, please contact Greg McCown at VP-TUSC@TexarkanaSoccer.com

Everyone Welcome

Welcome to the Texarkana Soccer Association (TSA) website.  It is our goal to keep the soccer fans of this area informed and involved with this wonderful program available to our youth.  TSA is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer based organization.  We welcome any suggestions you may have to make our association even better, and we are always looking for volunteers.  TSA is a member of the Arkansas State Soccer Association (ASSA) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA).

Fall Season:  TSA's primary season is the Fall season which begins after Labor Day and ends before Thanksgiving.  The registration period runs through the month of July.  The Fall season is small-sided with no goalkeepers for U6 (3v3) through U8 (4v4).  U10 plays 7v7 with a goalkeeper.  U12 plays 9v9 with a goalkeeper.  U14 and U18 play 7v7 to 11v11 depending on the number of registered players.  The older divisions may also play Coed if needed.  All field sizes are adjusted to appropriate dimensions for the age and number of players.  For more detailed information, please see the official TSA Rule Book

Spring Season: TSA also has a Spring season which has a few games before Easter and a few games after Easter (6 games total).  The registration period runs through the end of January.  The Spring season has evolved into a small-sided season for all age groups (up to U15).  Due to High School Soccer, there is not a U18 division in the Spring.  The older divisions (U12 & U15) often play Coed, depending on the number of registered players.

Adult Seasons:  TSA has recently added an adult soccer league for the 18 and over players.  This league is Co-Ed and geared for the recreational player.  All skill levels are represented from beginner, including many of the youth coaches, to past college players.  The adult league will have 3 seasons; Fall, Spring, and Summer.  The Fall and Spring seasons will coincide with the youth seasons while the Summer season will go through June and July.

Summer Camp:  The John Ramshaw's UK Soccer Camp in the summer is one of the best opportunities for players of all abilities to improve.  The multiple camp offerings provide each player with experienced coaching to learn and build on both fundamentals and tactics.  The staff of professional coaches from England, led by John Ramshaw, have been coming to Texarkana to give these camps for over 20 years.  John has held an "A" level coaching license since 1980.  The Texarkana area is fortunate to have such a high level of coaching available to those who want to be better soccer players (including beginners and those who have never played before).
